Transportation Preparation
 
Avoid unnecessary damage to your boat by properly preparing it for transport. The following list is provided to assist you in readying your boat for shipping:

• Reduce Water & Fuel for shipping.

• Remove all inflammable liquids, like fuel stowed in jerry cans and loose fuel tanks.

• Disconnect gas supplies.

• Disconnect battery cables or turn off battery switch.

• Bilges should be empty and bilge pumps switched off.

• Ensure that cockpit drains and/or drain plugs are fully operational.

• Sewage tanks should be empty and installation switched off.

• Dispose of all garbage and waste products prior to shipping.

• Fasten and lock hatches, windows and cabinets. Where no locks fasten with tape.

• Detach or secure antennas, canvas, bimini tops, lifelines and stanchions.

• Place securely below any electronics and valuables and tape on fixed instrument covers.

• Make certain that all loose items in your vessel such as plates, galley utensils, personal items or any
other non secured items have been secured or removed from the vessel.

• All exterior chairs and cushions must be moved to the interior and secured.

• Lock your cabin.
